Greetings Marines and welcome to 397th
HQ
The 379th MSG, The Bushveldt Carbineers (BVC), is an Air-mobile Infantry Company based out of Adelaide, South Australia.
The BVC takes its name from a British cavalry unit that fought in ancient earths 2nd Boer War. The original Bushveldt Carbineers were pioneers in the use of small unit and counter insurgency tactics, tactics still employed by the 379th.
Our Motto “Strike and Strike Swiftly” is the personification of the units fighting sprit.
As an Air-mobile unit the company uses amphibious assault craft to land in and move around a combat zone. Often outnumber, surrounded and without heavy support the BVC has become expert at small unit tactics. Using rapid manoeuvres, aggressive tactics and advanced weapons to compensate for their reduced numbers.
Our current assignment is aboard the USS Genesis part of STARFLEET’s 11th fleet. The Genesis is a Gallipoli class marine landing ship, deigned specially for lading marines in combat. It ships large compliment of transport and attack craft are perfect for the BVC’s highly mobile tactics. Since being assigned to the Genesis the 379th has engaged in several relieve mission and minor skirmishes all of which were overwhelmingly successful.
The Bushveldt Carbineers have a long and proud history, serving with distinction in almost every conflict the Federation has faced, as the 379th and has earned a reputation for valour and bravery which we plan to continue into the future.
