Sickbay
The primary mission of the Gallipoli Class is to conduct “Amphibious Assault” landings. These landings are among the most dangerous missions conducted by the corps and often have high casualty rates.
To this end the Gallipolis sickbay is significantly larger than the one found on a Galaxy or Nebular class vessel. Split into 2 wings, each with 7 medical beds, 2 Bio-beds and a surgical-bed. The Genesis caries an extensive medical staff and the latest in medical technology. Each wing has holographic emitters and an EMH mk2 both on an independent power supply for emergency situations.
The chef medical officer’s office is in a separate room connected to each wing by a corridor. Unlike most starships the Gallipolis Sickbay concentrates primarily on healing the wounded and has very little facilities for medical research. Despite this the Gallipoli Sickbay is the equal of most Starbases and the envy of most Starship chef medical officer’s.
